Fall/Winter hours start this today!
We had such an amazing summer, Chicago! Thank you for showing up to support us every day through heatwaves, rain spells, and even record breaking dangerous air.
Closing two days a week during our slow season is necessary for our bottom line and for working on new ideas and new ways to serve our beautiful city. Keep an eye out for some old favorites and desserts you’ve never seen before!

We will be closed today, Sunday September 13th, at our Wicker Park location.
We have some sickness working through our staff, and staff safety and well being is priority for us. Closing today will allow us to give them time to rest and recover.
We will still be open at our Lincoln Square location today from 12-9:30! See you there!

As the air conditions are still hazardous, we are extending our Wicker Park shop’s closure to today, Friday 7/17. Lincoln Square remains open as we have a safe indoor area.
Closing in the middle of our busiest month is a last resort, but nothing is more important than the safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers. Even if our staff wore masks they would be exposed to particles in their eyes and customers eating outside often wait in line for up to 20 minutes in peak busy hours, which in these conditions is dangerous.
Climate change is real and terrifying. Vaca’s Creamery is vegan first for the animals, but our business is built to be environmentally conscious and forward thinking. This is a perfect example of the conditions we can expect if we do not act to fight climate change and create sustainable food and energy systems.
We hope to open Wicker Park for normal service tomorrow, Saturday 7/18, but that will depend on air quality conditions. Please check our instagram and hours on Google for updated information.

To get to the location at W Giddings Street in Chicago using public transport, take the Brown Line train to the Irving Park station. After exiting the station, walk west on Irving Park Road and turn left onto N Damen Avenue. Continue walking until you reach W Giddings Street.
If you are planning to drive, there are several parking options available along both sides of W Giddings Street. Additionally, there is a parking lot located at the intersection of N Lincoln Avenue and W Giddings Street, which is only a short walk away from the location.
