As the air conditions are still hazardous, we are extending our Wicker Park shop’s closure to today, Friday 7/17. Lincoln Square remains open as we have a safe indoor area.

Closing in the middle of our busiest month is a last resort, but nothing is more important than the safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers. Even if our staff wore masks they would be exposed to particles in their eyes and customers eating outside often wait in line for up to 20 minutes in peak busy hours, which in these conditions is dangerous.

Climate change is real and terrifying. Vaca’s Creamery is vegan first for the animals, but our business is built to be environmentally conscious and forward thinking. This is a perfect example of the conditions we can expect if we do not act to fight climate change and create sustainable food and energy systems.
We hope to open Wicker Park for normal service tomorrow, Saturday 7/18, but that will depend on air quality conditions. Please check our instagram and hours on Google for updated information.
