Good people stopping by the shop today.
We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel Alvelo Rivera, who came through Bellona’s to introduce himself and spend some time talking about the neighborhood. He even brought a couple of shirts, which shows he also knows fashion.😆
One thing about running a neighborhood pizzeria… you get to meet people from all walks of life who care about the community. Bellona’s has been part of Albany Park for a long time, and it’s a place where neighbors can connect over a slice.
Miguel took the time to stop in, shake hands, and show some love to a local small business. We appreciate that.

This one came from a beach in Puerto Rico.
Growing up, I’d grab hot, crispy empanadas from little beachside kiosks — salty ocean air, sizzling oil, music in the background, and that first bite exploding with flavor.
We brought that memory back… inside a pizza shop in Chicago.
