Excited to share two more pieces headed to the Evanston restaurant by the one and only .
When we started curating the art collection for this space, we knew we wanted Raspy’s work to be part of it. We catered her wedding years ago, and over time she and her husband became friends. There’s something really special about having artists you love — and people you love — help tell your story.
One of the pieces was created using materials pulled directly from Chef’s kitchen and the history of Soul & Smoke itself — spices, smoker ash, butcher paper, tray liners, pieces of the process that most people never think twice about. Seeing those everyday elements transformed into art that represents the soul of our restaurant was pretty emotional for us.
The second piece centers around connection and shared vision — the idea that community is built together, not alone. That feeling is woven into everything we’re trying to create in this space.
Art is such an important part of this restaurant. Every piece has intention. Every artist has a connection to our story, our city, or our community.
Can’t wait for everyone to experience it all together.

Whether you’re hosting the whole neighborhood, headed to the lake, or just trying to avoid standing over a grill all day, let us do the smoking for you.
Available for pickup at all Soul & Smoke locations Memorial Day weekend. We highly recommend ordering early before popular items sell out.

To get to N Rockwell Street in Chicago, you can take the CTA Blue Line and get off at the Division station. From there, walk west on Division Street until you reach N Rockwell Street.
If you prefer to drive, take I-90/94 and exit at Augusta Boulevard. Turn left onto Augusta Boulevard and continue until you reach N Rockwell Street. There is street parking available in the area.
